2020s

Patches are complete. Getting the drip edge on now, then roof coating all the new bits. Need supplies not available today.

Roofing: I chose to roof coat the OSB (SIPs) directly. Advised it was fine. Bad choice. Tree limb damage. Moisture got in. The last month has been about removing damage and repair.

I built this. After I started the build in 2016, I got laid off and then divorced, so I had to live in it before it was finished, slowing things down a lot. Completed this summer.

So my micro.blog/Twitter feed doesn’t contain the story that I’ve been posting to Facebook all these years, so I should probably summarize.

Ladder I like vs ladder I don’t like. See. Need more room for my feet.

So essentially what we are talking about here is an enforced lunch break.

Really glad I didn’t take the tarp off yet.

Cannot adequately express how much I hate ladder work. Have to come in for a break to let adrenaline levels subside.

Inadvertently came into contact with a decomposed snail and I regret it very much.

How clumsy am I? I pinched my thumb here. Rather badly.

I keep putting handkerchiefs in my pockets and I keep not having handkerchiefs. I don’t know what’s going on.

Do you make the scissors geature when looking for the scissors?

It is FIFTY degrees right now and I have to go outside and work on the roof. Can’t believe I have to break out the cold weather grubbies.

The neighborhood children are completely enamoured with my Radio Flyer and borrow it almost daily.

“Helping is the friendly face of control.” I realize there’s such a thing as actual helping, but in my disease, I sometimes engage in unsolicited/inappropriate help, and that’s what it’s about.

OMG it’s 58F in Richlands! I can’t imagine I was dying of heat a week ago.

Got this ladder on sale. Why is it terrifying? Tried to climb it at highest stepladder setting and phobia ensued. thd.co/32QFw4t

The weather has not cooperated for working on my roof. Asked for time off this week. Move in day is Saturday … eek.
