@JohnPhilpin Thanks! I've noticed a lot of delay, but it's been low priority for me, so I haven't troubleshot it yet.

@Gaby I sympathize with giving up on The Stand. I did finish it, but the whole time I was thinking, "Why in the world should I care about the internal workings of THIS character?!?!"

@pratik We live in a time where it's illegal in a lot of places to feed the homeless. That's a great way to be a villain, LOL. Guerilla foodfare.

@springdew Nope, there was a scheduling error and I got stood up. We'll have to revisit this next month.

@jean A lot of your furniture is the style I'm going for here. Too bad we are on opposite coasts.

@springdew Oh. Apparently the bing-boong kind works on a different principle and needs different voltage. Okay I guess I need a louder bzzt then? I wonder if there's some other sound I can get.

@Gaby What I do is set up a new blog and retire the old one, changing what location springdew.com points to. I then put a link to the old journals from the menu. See the upper left menu for example.

@Pilchuck Ugh, at 17 I swore never to paint another exterior again, and every time I reconsider for 10 seconds, I remember and reaffirm.

@Cheri My first exposure to Tig Notaro was in the streaming series about being from Mississippi. I'm from Mississippi but her Mississippi and my Mississippi are wildly different. It was too weird and I gave up. I kind of sort of like her in Discovery, but I guess I need to see the full range.

So how was the movie?

@springdew I'm not saying that my aunt or her parents were stupid. They were meeting the expectations of their society. The society was stupid.

@Miraz This kind of thing makes me insane. My tiny house is 7,000 lbs. The trailer my tiny house is built on is rated to 10,000 lbs. My truck is rated to pull 10,000 lbs. The hitch I bought, rated to 10,000 lbs. The 2.5" ball that came with my hitch says 6,000 lbs. max on it. What the heckin heck?

@hollyhoneychurch That was a fantastic trip. HebCelt was going on at the time, so my son enjoyed that. And we had dinghy lessons in Stornoway. Only two weeks in Scotland, not nearly enough.
