I think, culturally, we’ve been a bit more than stupid. This morning my aunt was remembering how they used to iron their clothes outdoors in the shade of the pecan tree to hopefully catch a hint of breeze in the blistering summer. Ironing. In the heat.
When I get a song idea, it becomes fully formed in my head. It’s sorrowful and painful that I can’t manifest it. Really need to do something about it. Been a problem all my life.
I like “alas” and I use it often. But I don’t use “alack”. Ever.
Money can’t buy happiness. But it does pay the damn bills, which buys peace. Within which I can better find happiness.
So my across-the-road neighbor has this circle. What do you think it is? Their house? A cistern? Fuel?

Um, so a lot of stuff changed. I just closed on a house in NC and bought an acre apiece in UT and NM. Tiny house is parked on family land in MS. I’m a land baron!
